Founded by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), The India Digital Awards (IDA) recognizes the exemplary work that agencies, brands, and marketers put in to drive impact across industries. Winning these awards for the third consecutive year, IDA 2023 has recognized InMobi for its content marketing and lead generation campaigns. Let’s take a deep dive into these campaigns. 

1. upGrad's epic IPL partnership with Vikram Sathaye, where data science met cricket on Glance 

Award Grade: Silver  

Category: Best Use of Mobile for Content Marketing Campaign 

During the cricket season in 2021, upGrad wanted to promote its data science courses. However, engaging cricket fans with a subject as serious as data science and upskilling was a challenge. upGrad took an innovative route by delivering data science with a twist with an entertaining content marketing series on Glance. The brand created 64 videos of 20-30 second duration featuring Vikram Sathaye, a renowned cricket presenter, analyst, and stand-up comedian, to share match and player stats with office humor, plugging in its offerings while also giving cricket enthusiasts the information they loved. The results were impressive - with a reach of over 16 million people, 30 million views, and 85% unique clicks! upGrad won the match.

2. Swiggy drives instant impact with One-Click Install campaign on Glance

Category: Best Lead Generation Campaign through Mobile 

Swiggy decided to explore innovative channels to grow its business. Not wanting to get lost in a whirlwind of content, the brand chose to reach people before they unlocked their phones – with Glance. The brand leveraged the InMobi Advertising Platform to reach Indian food lovers with high purchasing power. Based on the user’s location and time of the day, the campaign served them offers and dishes for breakfast, lunch or dinner from hyperlocal cuisines appealing to their taste buds, with an ‘Install Now' CTA on the lock screens. The one-click install feature on Glance made this journey completely seamless, avoiding typical play store drop-offs. Additionally, captivating 10-second video ads and discount coupons on the Glance carousel nudged new app installers to place their first orders. This high-impact performance campaign resulted in a 29% increase in month-on-month first orders on food delivery between August 2021 and February 2022, 30% lower cost per new user on food delivery. High-quality consumer base with app transaction of 9 weeks, as indicated by the brand's retention range data.
