San Mateo, Calif. November 14, 2025 — InMobi Advertising, a leading global provider of mobile-first programmatic solutions, announces the official validation of its near-term and long-term greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This validation confirms that InMobi’s decarbonization goals are aligned with the latest climate science and the global ambition to limit warming to 1.5°C.
The SBTi, a global initiative jointly established by prominent international organizations—including the World Resources Institute (WRI), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), CDP, and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)—evaluates and certifies corporate emissions reduction targets to ensure they align with the latest climate science for limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. The approved targets span both operational and value-chain emissions, positioning InMobi among a select group of companies worldwide, and one of the few in AdTech, with validated science-based targets for both near-term and net-zero goals.
This approval is a crucial step in InMobi Advertising’s strategy to address climate change through scientifically validated targets. This SBTi certification known for its stringent international standards, underscores the company’s commitment to meaningful climate action and reinforces its position as a global environmental leader.
InMobi, in partnership with sustainability consultancy 51ToCarbonZero, has received official validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its near-term and net-zero science-based climate targets. This recognition affirms that InMobi’s emissions reduction goals align with the SBTi’s most ambitious 1.5°C decarbonization trajectory. Anchored in a 2023 baseline, the company has committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 50% and transitioning to 100% renewable electricity by 2030. Looking ahead, InMobi aims to reach net-zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2050, including a 90% absolute reduction in both Scope 1 & 2 and Scope 3 emissions. This milestone reinforces InMobi’s leadership in advancing credible, science-backed climate action across the digital advertising ecosystem.
"Receiving SBTi validation is more than a certification—it’s a public commitment to operating responsibly and building a future-ready business," said Kunal Nagpal, Chief Business Officer for InMobi Advertising and Glance monetization. "These targets are not just about our operations; they are about driving meaningful change across the entire digital advertising ecosystem, ensuring that we and our partners can thrive in a sustainable future."
InMobi’s SBTi-approved climate targets reinforce our commitment to being a cleaner link in the media value chain- giving brands a more responsible, future-ready partner to build with. These validated commitments offer marketers a clear, data-backed pathway to support their climate goals through responsible media investments, reducing both environmental and reputational risk. This milestone sets a precedent in digital advertising, where climate commitments have historically lagged. By taking a comprehensive, validated approach, InMobi offers a blueprint for how AdTech companies can embed sustainability into operations, governance, and partnerships.
With climate accountability increasingly influencing investment decisions, this validation strengthens InMobi’s position with ESG-focused funds and signals long-term resilience and competitiveness.
