Joe Esposito joined InMobi in July 2021 as our VP, Head of Agency Partnerships for North America. Learn more about him and why he likes working at InMobi.
What are your responsibilities at InMobi?
I lead Agency Partnerships in North America, driving deeper relationships and value exchange with the major agency holding companies and key independent agencies.
What is it that most excites you about these responsibilities? We have a solid foundation established with many of our agency partners, but I feel we’ve barely scratched the surface, especially with all of the new products we’ve been launching (with more to come!). I’m confident we can elevate InMobi’s reputation as a top tier leader in ad tech and establish us as a critical partner across supply, innovation and insights.
Is there a particular experience you had in the past that shaped your current career ambition?
I spent the first half of my career in a variety of roles on the agency side. My last role saw me responsible for leading multiple category tech reviews, with an extensive internal team of experts in the associated category assembled for each review. This set me up to better understand multiple players in ad tech and martech and how they ultimately build optimal partnerships with agencies. I quickly realized I wanted to take those learnings and make the plunge into ad tech, understanding the needs of agencies and how much value can be extracted from the right partnerships.
Why did you join InMobi? What is it in particular about the company’s purpose that motivated you to pick us?
Ads are the foundation of our industry and the core of what InMobi delivers today. What drove me to InMobi, though, was the concept of building mobile experiences and platforms that positively impact people across multiple industries. I’m of the firm belief that experiences are one of the most important aspects of life, so if we can deliver consumers positive experiences while delivering on our customers’ marketing objectives, I’m all in. Sprinkle that with a focus on commerce, and I couldn’t wait to get started.
What is a little-known fact about you that people would be surprised to hear?
I’ve seen one band over 175 times with plenty more to come!
