About GeoTechnologies

Established in 1994, GeoTechnologies specializes in producing digital maps for the automotive industry, focusing on car navigation systems and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Equipped with maps and people flow data, the company entered the application business. In October 2020, it launched TRIMA, an app based on the Move to Earn (M2E) concept of getting rewards by walking, running, and traveling. Today, 4 million monthly active users earn points using TRIMA.

The Objective

With over 4 million monthly active users and diverse inventory, GeoTechnologies was keen on implementing monetization strategies to grow TRIMA’s ad revenue from in-app advertising in Japan. The platform needed a solution that offered premium demand for a wide range of ad formats across the brand and performance spectrum. However, with millions of TRIMA power users, GeoTechnologies had to tread carefully. The platform had to ensure it did not hamper consumer delight while growing its revenue. The challenge, therefore, was to meet its monetization goals without compromising the user experience.

How it scored on revenue

The integration of the InMobi SDK via its MAX adapter for in-app header bidding enabled TRIMA to serve various ad formats, such as banner, native, interstitial, and rewarded video ads. It offered access to an extensive global network of premium demand sources with high transparency, leading to improved cost per mille (CPM), stringent ad quality, and increased yield.

InMobi’s vast network meant diverse, appealing, and quality ads that resonated with its user base. This resulted in driving both interest and engagement.
